March 20, 2020
Dear Valued Child Care Provider:
This letter is to inform you of new protocols that have been implemented by MountainHeart Child Care Resource and Referral, a program of MountainHeart Community Services Inc. Effective March 16, 2020, all Face-to-Face contact with customers has been suspended as a preventive measure in response to the COVID-19 health crisis.
Please be advised of the following procedure changes effective immediately:
- ü Providers may submit Request for Payment Forms and Attendance Sheets via fax, US Postal Service or office drop boxes (where applicable). If your local MountainHeart Office does not have a drop box, you may call the office for more drop off instructions.
- ü All Face-to-Face Professional Development trainings, Technical Assistant visits, and TRAILS visits are suspended. Professional Development Team staff will be available via telephone to answer your questions and provide support.
- ü MountainHeart offices will be staffed Monday through Thursday. Staff will not be working on site on Fridays. Please call your local MountainHeart office and leave a message with any questions or inquiries you may have. A staff person will return your call on Friday or the following Monday.
- ü MountainHeart CCR&R offices will be abiding by any new mandates on the Federal or State level regarding the COVID 19 crisis for the safety and well-being of staff and customers. Updates will be posted on MountainHeart’s website and Facebook page.
During this precautionary period, please note that on-line trainings are allowable, if the training is connected to a WV Core Knowledge/Competency. If you have any questions concerning a specific training, please call your local DHHR Child Care Regulatory Specialist, or a member of the MountainHeart Child Care R&R Professional Development Team. Listed below are a few online training options.
