Child Care Survey - COVID-19

Hello child care providers,

Critical Child Care sites continue to be the only child care providers operating throughout West Virginia. These child care sites have been instrumental in the COVID-19 fight. Without it, essential workers would not be able to continue working.

Discussions have recently begun about getting all businesses throughout the state up and running. Since child care in general is imperative to the entire workforce, questions for the child care community continue to be raised. Do you have supplies needed to operate? Do you have access to sanitation supplies? Is staffing adequate? Are we all adhering to the Center for Disease Control recommendations?

To best understand the current needs of Critical Child Care sites and the child care providers in general, you are asked to take a short survey. In addition, with the consideration of testing to begin for currently operating Critical Care sites and sites that continue to register as Critical Care sites, it is important to understand the number of child care staff, children in care (and applicable household members) that are present at these sites. The survey can be reached here:

We ask that you complete this short survey by noon, Tuesday, April 28, 2020. Your input is vital!

Please remember that all Critical Care Sites are asked to follow the Center for Disease Control recommendations for child care programs that remain open. Take time to read, study an implement the guidance shared by the CDC at

Thank you.
