What Is Head Start?<\/h4>\n

The Head Start program is a federally funded pre-school program for children ages three to five (prior to entering kindergarten). Head Start provides comprehensive child development services including health, mental health, nutrition and social services as well as school readiness.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Who Is Eligible?<\/h4>\n

Priority is given to families that fall within the poverty guidelines, but all four-year-old children and three-year old children with disabilities will be enrolled through a partnership with the local school system. Three-year old children without disabilities will also be enrolled when enrollment slots are available. Income verification, a birth certificate and shot record are needed to complete the enrollment process.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
