What Is CSBG?
The Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) program provides support for individuals and families at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. Assistance is tailored to meet immediate needs and promote long-term stability.
What Services Are Available?
Services may include:
- Utility Assistance: Help with past-due bills that have a disconnect notice.
- Rent/Mortgage Help: Support for payments overdue within the last 2 months.
- Vocational Training Support: Assistance with tuition, fees, or certifications.
- Food Assistance: Based on household size.
All payments are made directly to vendors. Eligibility and funding are determined on a case-by-case basis.
Youth Mentee Program
For youth ages 16–18, CSBG also offers a mentoring initiative that includes:
- Mentoring & case management
- Tutoring & academic support
- Job readiness & career exploration
- Life skills & financial literacy workshops
- Community engagement opportunities
Participants must meet income guidelines and commit to regular participation.
