What Is Weatherization?
Weatherization is a federally funded program designed to assist low income families in Energy Conservation Repairs to reduce heating and cooling utilities and some Health and Safety. Air Sealing, Insulation, and Heat/Cool Tune Ups, and some are just a few ways to help cut costs.
Who Is Eligible?
This program is available to homeowners and renters who meet Weatherization income guidelines. Preference is given to households that include an elderly individual age 60 or older. Applications are accepted year-round.
Documents Required
- Proof of ownership or signed rental paperwork
- Copy of most recent electric bill and gas bill (if applicable)
- Proof of income (no bank statements)
- Copy of identification
Maximum Monthly Income (Effective July 2026)
- 1 Person Household: $2,660.00
- 2 Person Household: $3,607.00
- 3 Person Household: $4,553.00
- 4 Person Household: $5,500.00
How Can A Family Enroll?
Wyoming and Fayette County residents may apply online, request an application by mail, submit applications and supporting documents by email, or drop off applications in person.
